International Efforts
The
International Neuroinformatics Coordinating Facility (INCF)
INCF coordinates and fosters international activities in neuroinformatics
to develop infrastructure that enables access to all freely accessible
data and analysis resources for human brain research to the international
research community. Its larger objective is to contribute to the
development of scalable, portable, and extensible applications that
can be used by neuroscience laboratories for furthering our knowledge
of the human brain and its diseases.
Worldwidescience.org
One June 22, 2007, U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the British
Library, along with eight other participating countries, opened
an online global gateway to science information from 15 national
portals. This gateway, Worldwidescience.ofg gives citizens, researchers
and anyone interested in science the capability to search science
portals not easily accessible through routine, popular search technology
.
